Evan Oliver Retains Durham County Boys Championship at Billingham Golf Club
The 2026 Durham County Golf Union Boys Championships were successfully staged at Billingham Golf Club, where the county's leading junior golfers competed for honours across the Boys' Under-18, Under-16 and Under-14 championships.
The highlight of the championship saw Evan Oliver (Wearside Golf Club) successfully defend the Durham County Boys Championship, becoming champion for the second consecutive year. Excellent golf throughout the event earned Evan the county title ahead of Jake Lewis (South Moor Golf Club), who finished as runner-up after an impressive championship.
The Boys' Nett Championship was won by Tom Johnson (Billingham), delighting the home club, while Ben Dobson (Durham City) claimed the runners-up prize.
In the Under-16 Championship, Jaycob Wass (Rockcliffe Hall) produced an excellent performance to lift the title, with Harry Sheen (Wearside) finishing runner-up.
The Under-16 Nett Championship was won by Ben Weatherson (Ravensworth), with Tobias Slade (Blackwell Grange) taking the runners-up honours.
The Under-14 Championship was claimed by **Charlie Sandison (Whitburn)** after another outstanding display, while **Ben Robinson (Brancepeth Castle)** finished runner-up.
The Under-14 Net Championship went to Alex Robertson (Seaton Carew), with Miller Harrison (Ramside) taking second place.
