The Durham County Golf Union (DCGU), as the men’s amateur golf governing body in County Durham, focuses on administering county championships, team competitions, and coaching programs. Affiliated with England Golf, the DCGU manages course measurements and slope ratings for its 43 member clubs and serves as the local authority on the R&A Rules of Golf and Handicapping.
